While the FDA has authorized chlorine dioxide solution to keep fruits, vegetables, and meats free from bacteria, infection, and disease during the processing and handling phases, it warns it is dangerous and not suitable for human consumption. In addition, chlorine dioxide water treatment is a highly effective method of ensuring safe drinking water in municipal water treatment and distribution facilities. It is also used in the field for making otherwise unpotable water safe.
Drinking Chlorine Dioxide in its Purest Form
According to the FDA, chlorine dioxide is a potent industrial bleach and should not be consumed by humans due to potentially lethal consequences and clearly rebukes anyone from claiming that chlorine dioxide could treat or cure any disease. Nobody would expect a sane person to ingest pure chlorine dioxide, as the FDA alleges that chlorine dioxide promoters are suggesting (they are not). This bodily response was named after Jarisch Herxheimer, who first discovered it. In Herb Roi Richards’ book “Lyme Disease Non-Medical Diagnosis and Treatment,” this reaction is described as an overloading of the body’s system with too many harmful substances being eliminated at once. Despite experiencing Herxheimer reactions, he remained calm and took immediate steps to manage the symptoms. He knew that stopping the dilutions of chlorine dioxide would also stop its effectiveness in killing harmful pathogens, whether they were spirochetes or other harmful microorganisms. Therefore, instead of completely halting treatment, he gradually reduced the dosage until he found a level that was tolerable for him. However, he did not stop taking it altogether. By persisting with the treatment, he was able to gradually reduce the population of these pathogens, regain his health once again, and continues to live Lyme disease-free.
Managing Side Effects of Chlorine Dioxide
Paris Humble at a presentation held at the Reiki Ranch explains managing the side effects of chlorine dioxide is simple. If the user experiences a negative reaction to one drop of chlorine dioxide, he or she should cut the dose in half, and try it again. That is to say, if you took one drop of chlorine dioxide in four ounces of water and you felt nauseous, reduce the dose to one-half a drop.
How do you create a one-half drop dose? Just create a one drop dose, only use eight ounces of water. Pour off one-half of the solution (4 oz.) and you have a half-drop dose. If you feel nauseous again, add 16 ounces of water, and pour off four ounces; this would be the equivalent of one-fourth of a drop. When you can tolerate the partial drop dose, continue at that does and increase when you are able.
